Obtain Rate

Click Obtain Rate to get a real time exchange rate for your currency pair.

Accept Rate

Once the exchange rate appears, you’ll have 30 seconds to review, accept, and confirm your currency purchase.

Note:Do not accept the rate if you can’t provide approved instructions by the payment cut-off time.

Confirm Purchase

To help you avoid entry errors, you’ll have the opportunity to review and confirm your purchase after accepting the rate.

Refresh Rate

If you take no action within 30 seconds, the exchange rate will expire. You can click the refresh button to retrieve a new rate and restart the timer

The account, currency, and amount entered will persist.

Confirm Currency Purchase

If you run into any issues and need to reach out to the FX Traders, reference the Deal Number.

Trade date is the date you purchase the foreign currency.

Value date is the expected settlement date, or the expected date the payment is received by your beneficiary’s banking institution.

Add Payment Instructions or Buy More Currency

If you’re entitled to settle currency purchases, you’ll see ‘Add Payment Instructions’. You can also buy more currency.

Remember: Furnish your payment instructions by the required cut offs. Otherwise, you may suffer a market loss if SVB needs to reverse your currency purchase.
