Adam Tweedy is a managing director and leads Silicon Valley Bank’s venture capital and private equity services group. In this role since 2001, he manages the company’s relationships with venture capital and private equity firms, providing banking services and debt financing for these firms based on a deep understanding of their needs.
Prior to this role, Tweedy was co-founder and chief financial officer, and directed operations and business development for start up Trueque.com, Inc., an internet barter site for the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world. Prior to Trueque, Tweedy was a management consultant for Logistic and Distributions System sin Warsaw, Poland where he advised management on the sales, marketing and operations departments for this Polish distributor of consumer packaged goods. Tweedy began his banking career as a relationship manager at Fleet National Bank in its acquisition finance division.
Tweedy earned a master’s degree in business administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington and Jefferson College.
