
Max Ortiz
Max Ortiz is a Private Wealth Advisor for Silicon Valley Bank’s Private Bank and Wealth Advisory division in San Francisco. His areas of focus include pre- and post-IPO investment and liability strategies, concentrated and restricted stock and liability management, and tax mitigation planning. Prior to joining SVB, Max served as a senior vice president at Bank of America Private Bank, assisting clients with their investment management, credit, estate planning and banking needs. In this role, he excelled in supporting the financial needs of high-net-worth families and institutional clients by providing wealth management services to help clients navigate the intricacies of investment strategy, portfolio structuring, liability management and generational planning. Max previously worked in the portfolio management division at Hall Capital Partners, a multi-family office, that specialized in alternative assets and started his career at a fixed income asset management firm.
Max earned a B.A. in politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in June 2009. At UC Santa Cruz, Max was a four-time NCAA national champion while earning All-American honors in tennis. He’s an avid surfer and golfer, as well as an active board member of the Tennis Coalition of San Francisco and the UC Santa Cruz Alumni Council. Max lives in San Francisco with his wife and two young children and enjoys exploring the city with his family.
