Mary Toomey is a Private Wealth Advisor for SVB Private Bank and Wealth Advisory. In this role, she serves a unique group of clients comprised of investors, entrepreneurs and leaders who fuel the global innovation economy. Mary and her team favor a consultative approach, seeking to understand each client’s financial opportunities, challenges and needs. They then provide advice on both sides of the balance sheet by identifying viable liquidity, wealth and financial planning solutions designed to suit each client’s personal financial objectives and help them achieve success. Her team’s goal is to free clients from the complexities of personal finance so they can stay focused on what they do best: founding, finding, funding and leading the innovative companies that are transforming the world as we know it today.

Mary has been working with entrepreneurial leaders, investors and emerging growth companies since arriving at Silicon Valley Bank in 1993. Prior to joining the private client team in 1997, she worked in SVB’s technology division, providing a full range of commercial banking services to venture-backed technology and life science companies. Her background and experience help her provide an insightful and deep understanding of her clients’ businesses, personal income structures and balance sheet complexities.

Before relocating to California, Mary spent 12 years with Barclays Bank of NY working in middle market commercial and real estate lending. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Simmons College, Boston. She has held her CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation since 2004.
