James Mans is a senior vice president with the Private Bank & Wealth Advisory practice in New York City. He exclusively focuses on advising the nuanced wealth management needs of the fastest growing founders, venture capital investors and private equity partners. When done successfully, his goal is to provide complete guidance across the balance sheet through strategic wealth planning and connectivity to the SVB ecosystem.
Prior to SVB, James spent time at BBR Partners, a multi-family office advising families with $30 million or more of investable assets. In this role, he focused on pre-liquidity planning, management of concentrated stock positions and alternative asset structuring. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in the Global Wealth & Investment Management division.
Originally from Albany, New York, James is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo with a degree in Economics. Outside of work, he is an avid skier and outdoorsman, having successfully summitted all 46 Adirondack high peaks. James is proud to call the Madison Square Park area of Manhattan home.
