As a relationship manager with SVB Private Bank in Boston, Dave Buxton provides financial planning, wealth management and personal lending solutions to members of the innovation economy. In this role, he specializes in tailoring solutions to his clients’ needs by developing a deep understanding of their financial objectives and goals. Dave’s clients include partners of venture and private equity firms, founders, angel investors and executives of technology and life science companies.
Dave has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, he was Senior Vice President at Citi Private Bank. There, he worked to deliver lending, banking and wealth management solutions to key influencers at top area law firms. Prior to Citi Private Bank, Dave spent several years leading teams at Citizens Bank. His work experience includes wealth advisory, commercial lending, business banking, personal banking and other specialized fields in finance.
Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Whittemore School at the University of New Hampshire and is both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Wealth Strategist®. Outside of work, he is active in local community groups and has served on the boards of many nonprofit organizations in the Boston area. An avid sports enthusiast, Dave resides in Waltham, Massachusetts, with his wife and three children.
