How technology supports an achievement-oriented company culture

Building and sustaining a culture that truly supports the achievement of company goals is one of the toughest challenges business owners and managers face, notes Harvard Business Review. To best answer these questions, you need to consider the impact of technology on the culture of your organization.

Consider how often you are interrupted by emails, phone calls, texts, online chats and social media during work. The impact of technology on culture is obvious.

Proper use of communication channels and other forms of technology can support a strong, cohesive company culture. After you purposefully decide what you want your culture to be, you can implement a strategy and leverage technology across your company.

Support your personnel

If your company culture is one where you champion high employee morale, engagement and growth, HR analytics can offer support. Data analysis tools can identify current challenges, like high turnover in certain roles, and successes, like reduced turnover as a result of a revamped onboarding process.

To encourage open communication, relevant information needs to be provided in a succinct manner via convenient means. Because email can get overloaded, other tools such as online or app messaging and video chat conferencing may work better for groups of differing sizes. Messages from senior leadership can be broadcast via texts or mobile phone apps when employees work out in the field or do not have work computers.
