Robert Mastrogiacomo is an associate in the innovation advisor program (IAP), launched by SVB Private in 2022. The IAP introduces associates to the SVB ecosystem and serves to develop the next generation of SVB Private wealth advisors for the innovation economy. As an IAP associate, Robert will participate in a two-year rotational program to accelerate the knowledge and skills necessary to serve needed to serve the private banking, lending, wealth management, trust and advisory needs of SVB Private clients, combining deep technical training with practical application. Robert is passionate about creating and fostering environments with clients and advisors that go beyond transactions, leading to relationships where people feel heard, supported and respected.
Before taking on his current position, Robert was a private banking and wealth associate with SVB Private, and he served as a wealth management associate at Boston Private until 2021, when Boston Private was acquired by SVB. In his earlier associate role, Robert worked with a team of private bank advisors to support their work with prospective and current clients and helped with strategic and day-to-day tasks to serve both clients and advisors. Additionally, he assisted with proposal development, general client communications and aided advisors to create personalized client retirement plans. Before that, Robert worked in a client-facing technology role for Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, assisting with day-to-day operations focused on key metrics and continuous improvement plans.
He currently serves as a staff officer for the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Robert credits this experience to building strong communication, relationship management and teambuilding skills.
Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in business and managerial economics with a finance concentration and minor in Spanish from Boston College.
Outside of the office, Robert enjoys spending time with family, including his brother, two sisters, four nephews and two nieces. He lives in the Boston, Massachusetts, area.
