Jane Leung is the chief investment officer for Silicon Valley Bank’s Private Bank and Wealth Advisory division. Based in San Francisco, Jane and her team work closely with innovation economy clients to meet their complex wealth management needs. She also leads the bank’s Modern Family Office efforts, bringing a differentiated, institutional approach that holistically blends the risks across private and public markets.
Before joining SVB, Jane served as managing director and chief investment officer at Scenic Advisement, a boutique investment bank that helps high-growth, late-stage private technology companies attract strategic investors via secondary equity sales and primary financings. Jane led the wealth management division, which provided unique wealth management for entrepreneurs, blending both public and private asset management. She also led Asian distribution for the investment bank.
Jane held senior executive roles at BlackRock/iShares, including a seven-year tenure in Hong Kong as the head of index equity for the Asian Pacific market, and later as the head of iShares, Asia Pacific. During this time, she worked with regulators across the region to build the exchange-traded fund business. Before managing the iShares business in Asia, Jane was a senior portfolio manager for BlackRock’s U.S. equity index business, responsible for over $70 billion in investment assets. She was lead manager for the world’s largest index fund, the “Big Index” flagship S&P 500 index fund, and was responsible for the management of many of the firm’s strategic accounts.
Jane is a CFA Charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner. She leads the finance committee and holds the role of treasurer on the executive committee of the board of directors for the CFA Society of San Francisco. A longtime supporter of women’s and diversity initiatives in the finance industry, Jane served as co-chair of the BlackRock Asia Pacific Women's Initiative Network. She is currently on the leadership team and co-heads the educational programming committee for Women in ETFs, a financial literacy organization. She is the executive sponsor on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for SVB’s Private Banking and Wealth Advisory and the Wine Division.
In her free time, Jane volunteers for the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
