Register My Credit Card

SVB Online Banking allows you to access and manage your SVB MasterCard® account. You can view your account balance and transactions, and make payments on your account.

To get started, you will first need to register your card in SVB Online Banking and create a unique User ID and Password.

Credit Card Registration

SVB Online Banking allows you to register your SVB Credit Card to view information about your Card and make payments through SVB Online Banking.

How you access Credit Card Registration is based on if you are an existing or new Online Banking User. Completing Credit Card registration is the same for all Users.

Use the instructions below to register your SVB Credit Card within SVB Online Banking. After registering your Card, you will have the option to activate your Card, register for SVB Card Alerts, and learn more about SVB Mobile Banking.

Important: You can view your card balances and transactions, and make payments from the SVB Mobile Banking application.

Access Credit Card Registration - Existing Online Banking Users

Complete the following steps to access Credit Card Registration if you have previously logged in to SVB Online Banking. You can access Credit Card Registration two ways:

  • Hover over the Services tab within SVB Online Banking and click Register My Credit Card.
  • Click Register My Credit Card from your SVB Online Banking homepage.

Access Credit Card Registration - New Online Banking Users

Complete the following steps to access Credit Card Registration if you haven't previously logged in to SVB Online Banking:

  1. Go to https://www.svbconnect.com
  2. Click the Credit Cards tab.
  3. Click you Credit Card type below log in:
    • Business
    • Business Elite
    • Multi Card
  4. Click Register Now.

Complete Credit Card Registration

After accessing Credit Card Registration, complete the following steps to register your Card:

  1. From the 'Credit Card Registration Welcome' screen, select one of the following:
    • New to SVB Online Banking: Click Register.
    • Already Using SVB Online Banking: Click Sign In.
  2. Enter your Card Information.
  3. Enter your Cardholder Information.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Activate Credit Card or Skip if your Card has not been activated and you don't want to activate it at this time.
  6. Enter your Online Profile Information (New Users Only).
    • Email Address: Verify this is correct. Email is used for password resets, e-statements and other Card related correspondence.
    • Phone Number: Must be a U.S. phone number.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Create a User ID (New Users Only).
  9. Enter a Card Nickname. This will be useful to easily identify your accounts, when you start adding additional Cards to your profile.
  10. Select a Statement Delivery option from the drop-down:
    • e-Statements: No paper statement will be mailed.
    • Paper Statements: A paper statement will be sent to your mailing address on file each month.
    • e-Statement & Paper: You will receive a paper statement at your mailing address and an e-mail each month informing you when your statement is available to view online.
  11. Click Register Card. You will receive an auto-generated email containing your temporary password and additional instructions.
  12. A confirmation screen will verify that your Credit Card Registration is complete.

SVB Card Alerts & Mobile Banking

You will have the option to register for SVB Card Alerts and learn more about SVB Mobile Banking.

Card Alerts

SVB Card Alerts enable you to:

  • Check your account balance.
  • Confirm available credit.
  • See your payment due date and amount due.
  • Receive reminders when payment due date is approaching.
  • Review recent purchases and payment transactions.
  • Be alerted when you are approaching your credit limit and changes to your account.
  • Choose to receive alerts by mobile phone or email.
  • Fraud Alerts: Register your cell phone for our Mobile Fraud alert service to respond to SVB fraud inquiries via text.

If you already have Card Alerts set up, no additional action is necessary. To update your alert preferences, click the Enroll now link, or you can make changes at a later time. Visit the Card Alerts page for more information and help registering for alerts.

SVB Mobile Banking

SVB Mobile Banking provides you with mobile access to your SVB Card(s) by downloading the SVB Mobile Banking app from the App Store™ or Google Play™ Store.

You can log in to the app using your SVB Online Banking credentials to:

  • View multiple Cards in one view.
  • View account balances and transaction activity.
  • View transaction details.
  • Make a one-time payment.

Security Enhancements for SVB Card Online Transactions

As an extra layer of security for your SVB Commercial Card, select e-commerce transactions with participating merchants will prompt a One-Time Passcode (OTP) to authenticate and verify that the transaction is valid.

If prompted with OTP online, complete the following steps:

  1. Select your contact method.
    • Based on what is selected, you will receive a text and/or email with the OTP included.
  1. Type in the code online and click submit to complete the transaction.
    • The One-Time Passcode is good for 30 minutes before a new code is required.
