Jeff Probst

Jeff Probst, CFA, is a portfolio manager for SVB Asset Management, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, he and his team are responsible for the overall strategy, security selection and risk management of client portfolios. Jeff enjoys helping clients with developing and executing investment strategies tailored to best meet their organizations’ needs, while meeting each client’s risk tolerance and expectations for liquidity and return. He is passionate about providing clients with the best service possible and building a strong, lasting relationship to earn their trust.

Before joining SVB, Jeff spent more than 10 years in various fixed-income roles, most recently managing short- and medium-term investment-grade portfolios for an asset manager. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics and a master’s degree in agriculture and resource economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a member of the CFA Society of San Diego, and for nearly seven years, he has taught various investment and finance courses at San Diego State University.

Jeff enjoys mountain biking, making homemade pizza and spending time with his pet dachshund, Kronk.
