Dax Williamson
Dax Williamson, CFA, is a market manager for SVB. He leads the bank’s efforts to unite and empower innovators across Texas and the Southwest. SVB - with the support of First Citizens Bank - remains the leading provider of capital and insights exclusively to growing innovation companies, as well as the investors who back them.
Prior to joining SVB in 2008 to serve the entrepreneurial community, Dax was an investment manager overseeing more than $1B of client funds in public equities.
Dax holds an undergraduate degree in finance from Texas Christian University.
He spends his time actively supporting organizations and activities that bring focus to Texas and the Southwest as a technology hub, including serving on the steering committee of Austin’s CFO Leadership Council. He also actively volunteers with CASA of Travis County, helping raise funds to support advocacy efforts for neglected and abused kids in the region.
When not at work, Dax loves golfing, cheering at his kid’s sporting activities, and making a concerted effort at becoming more than a novice wine connoisseur.
