Silicon Valley Bank Strengthens UK Private Equity Services Group Through Two Key Senior Hires

London– 18th October 2012 -  Silicon Valley Bank, financial partner to the technology, life science, cleantech, private equity and venture capital industries, today announced that it has bolstered its UK- based Private Equity Services Group with the appointments  of Allan Majotra as Director of the Group and Namita Anand, as a Relationship Manager.

Allan Majotra, formerly a partner at a private equity group based in Spain, will lead the team. He will build on Silicon Valley Bank's prior success working with venture capital and private equity firms as the bank continues to expand to meet the needs of its clients worldwide.

In his prior role, Allan invested in Europe, Latin America and India and helped raise two new funds. Experienced in venture and private equity and banking and management within the TMT and energy sectors, Allan has also previously served as Director of Business Development and Marketing at eBay and Vice President in the Specialised Industries Group of Union Bank (Mitsubishi UFJ), Los Angeles.

Having recently relocated from Silicon Valley Bank's Palo Alto office, Namita Anand also joins the UK team as a Relationship Manager for the Private Equity Services Group. She is dedicated solely to Silicon Valley Bank's private equity and venture capital clients.

Namita has been with the Silicon Valley Bank for more than five years, most recently as a Relationship Manager with Silicon Valley Bank's Accelerator team working with early-stage venture capital-backed companies. Previously she worked with CEOs and venture capitalists through the bank's Private Client Services Group. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, Namita was a Relationship Manager with UBOC's Private Bank.
