SVB Global maintains relationships with VC firms in Western Europe to aid our clients interested in expanding overseas. In September 2004, SVB Europe Advisors Limited opened in London, one of the first SVB Global offices outside of the U.S. From the U.K., SVB Europe Advisors Limited continues to develop relationships with VC firms and service providers in Europe and to explore how our U.S.-based clients can leverage opportunities in the region. SVB Europe Advisors Limited also provides access to financial services for U.K.-based high-growth technology and life science companies, as well as private equity firms, and supports U.K.-based clients and prospects as they establish business connections or operations in the U.S.
Services of SVB Europe Advisors include:
- Access to sources of debt capital for growing technology companies through working capital financing based on accounts receivables; loans can be processed in local currency and are available through Silicon Valley Bank in the U.S.
- Consulting and business services such as educational information, networking and introductions to investment and other professionals
- SVB Europe Advisors Limited does not take deposits or provide other financial services
- Liaison to Silicon Valley Bank for financial services including global treasury, foreign exchange, global finance and global trade
