Wibke Pendse
Wibke Pendse is head of portfolio management for Silicon Valley Bank's Global Fund Banking in the San Francisco Bay Area. For three decades, global fund banking has offered holistic and flexible solutions, including innovative liquidity and fund-level debt solutions, leveraging SVB's unique platform and unparalleled expertise of lending to firms.
Wibke oversees the global fund banking loan portfolio — the largest in the global fund finance industry — for private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) firms. She brings nearly two decades of experience working with PE and VC firms in the US, Canada and Europe to her role. She joined Silicon Valley Bank in 2010 and has served in various senior leadership positions within global fund banking. She started as global fund banking's managing director for Silicon Valley Bank UK, where she established the group’s EMEA team. Most recently, she was region manager for the West Coast.
Earlier in her career, she worked for financial institutions in the Bay Area to develop and manage PE and VC firm relationships in the western US and in Canada. She began her career in commercial banking at HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt in Duesseldorf, Germany. Wibke earned an MBA from Leuphana University in Lueneburg, Germany.
