Professional Summary
Tony D. Yeh is the Director of Research for SVB Analytics. He oversees proprietary research on emerging company strategy, operations and valuation that is used for advising company management and venture investors on issues of investment allocation, capital optimization, and sector/segment viability.
Prior to his current role, he was a senior engagement partner at Pacifica Strategic Advisors (PSA), a corporate advisory boutique that specialized in advising corporations and financial institutions on issues of shareholder value driven corporate strategy, financial risk management, and capital market intelligence.
Before joining PSA, Tony headed UBS AG’s capital structure and asset pricing research team (CAST) in London which was instrumental in originating many of the bank’s M&A, debt origination, and recapitalization deals in the late 1990s. In the years prior to founding and leading CAST, he helped build several other profitable businesses at UBS AG predecessor companies in the areas of portfolio risk advisory and financial derivatives trading. Tony started his career as a research engineer with General Electric’s Corporate R&D Center investigating the application of artificial intelligence to problems in finance.
His research has been published in key management publications such as Harvard Business Review and CFO Magazine. He currently chairs the Finance Advisory Board for UC Berkeley’s finance certificate programs.
Tony received his MBA from the University of Chicago (specialization in quantitative finance) and a Master in Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (specialization in artificial intelligence).
