Robert Hartinger

Robert Hartinger is a Managing Director and Sector Head- Hardware with the Corporate Finance Division. Joining SVB in 2008 he is responsible for working with both public and later-stage private Hardware clients across the United States, structuring and arranging senior debt facilities, capital restructurings and acquisition financing, as well as advising clients on strategic direction, international trade, hedging, cash flow management and liquidity planning, investments, and global cash management issues.

Mr. Hartinger has spent 29 years engaged in international corporate finance and investment banking including engagements as an International Banking Representative for the predecessor institution for PNC Financial, a senior vice president at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce organizing and running the Electronics Industry team, a senior vice president & managing director at ABN AMRO Bank where he founded and led the Global Technology Banking Group for 12 years in North America and was a senior member of the Telecom, Media, & Technology division managing the Global Software practice. He was also employed as the corporate treasurer for Novellus Systems, Inc., a $1.6 bln revenue semiconductor capital equipment company with operations in 13 countries. Mr. Hartinger has extensive experience arranging syndicated and bi-lateral debt facilities, derivatives, and debt/equity capital markets transactions in North America, Europe, and Asia successfully leading transactions for some of the world's largest and most sophisticated technology companies as well as structuring and implementing global cash management systems for major global technology enterprises.

Mr. Hartinger earned a bachelor’s degree in international business from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT. He also holds a master of business administration degree in finance from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Mr. Hartinger maintains a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential as well as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential.
