Reijer Groenveld is a Senior Foreign Exchange Advisor with Silicon Valley Bank. He deals with complex currency-related issues, advises clients in developing, implementing and monitoring foreign exchange strategies and educates clients in understanding foreign exchange products.
Reijer has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry with a focus on the foreign exchange market. Before joining SVB in 2011, he spent the last 12 years working for ABN in Amsterdam as the Head of Central Bank Sales for Foreign Exchange and Money Market Products
In the course of his career, Reijer has worked in five different countries and has provided foreign exchange and financial market sales at financial institutions such as Citibank, Bank of America, UBS and CSFB. In addition to his sales role he also built and managed teams which sold foreign exchange and interest rate products to multinationals, central banks, supranationals and other financial institutions.
Reijer was born in the Netherlands and raised in the central valley of California. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from The Monterey Institute of International Studies.
