As National Cleantech Coordinator, Quentin Falconer leads the business development efforts for the cleantech industry at Silicon Valley Bank. SVB is the premier commercial bank for technology and life science companies of all sizes. SVB currently banks half of all venture-backed companies nationwide. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif., the company serves clients around the world through 27 U.S. offices and international operations in China, India, Israel and the U.K.
Formerly an engineer with Bechtel Corporation, Falconer began his commercial banking career in 1990 and has been with Silicon Valley Bank since 1999 working with emerging and mid-stage technology companies. He provides and oversees commercial and merchant banking, investment management and global treasury services for his portfolio of clients. Falconer sits on the Advisory Council for the Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum and is a member of Financial Executives International. He earned bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering and music from Tufts University and a master’s of business administration from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
