Mike Devery is currently the Market Manager for the Rocky Mountain region which covers all of the bank’s activities in a 8 state region including AZ, CO, and Utah where the bank has physical locations. A 12 year veteran of SVB, Mike was previously a managing director for SVB Capital’s Private Equity Group, covering the Central United States. SVB Capital is the private equity arm of SVB Financial Group. The group’s family of funds exceeds $1.2B million and includes fund of funds, co-investment funds, venture debt funds and specialty debt funds invested primarily on behalf of endowments and foundations.
Prior to this role, Mike was manager of the Colorado office from 1999 through 2004, and a senior vice president and account officer in SVB Software Practice in Palo Alto, CA from 1996 to 1999 working with notable software companies like Aurum Software, Chordiant Software, Brio Software and Tumbleweed Communications. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank, Devery spent three years with Union Bank’s Middle Market Group in San Francisco. He also served for two years in Sony Music’s Finance Department in New York City.
Devery earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree in business administration from Thunderbird, the Garvin School of Management.
Devery is on the Board of the Impact on Education, a non-for-profit supplemental funding vehicle for public education where he Chairs the Board Development Committee.
