Entrepreneur Banking Associate
Silicon Valley Bank
Faisal Mostamandy is a 6 year veteran of Silicon Valley Bank and is currently an Entrepreneur Banking Associate with SVB's Entrepreneur Banking team. In the EB role, Faisal advises pre Series A, angel/seed funded start-ups on early stage banking; focusing on startups based in San Francisco. He understands that the most important qualities to his clients are listening and good service.
Prior to this role he worked with Series A funded hardware, infrastructure and enterprise software companies, assisting them with a host of banking needs. These ranged from assisting with cash management decisions to opening an account in 24 hours. The most important part of his job was understanding his clients business and knowing where he can be a partner. He looked to add value through services extending beyond the traditional banking need for entrepreneurs and their early stage companies, be it 409a evaluations, finding office space, or helping them find treasury management personnel.
Previously, Faisal was an Associate with SVB Securites where he placed Fixed Income and Money Market Mutual Fund trades for clients. In this role, he advised clients with excess balances of $1 to 5 million with SVBS investment opportunities. While an Associate at SVB he also ran the daily off-balance-sheet Sweep Repo service. He holds both the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Faisal joined Silicon Valley Bank in 2006 as an Operations Specialist focusing on east coast venture capital and private equity clients.
Faisal earned a B.A. in History from San Jose State University.
