Daniel Quon is SVB Financial Group’s managing director for Asia, responsible for overseeing and developing SVB’s network of private equity and venture capital relationships throughout China and Asia. He also leads the day to day operations of SVB Business Partners (Beijing) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of SVB Financial Group providing Chinese technology companies and venture capital investors with advisory services for arranging RMB loans with local banks; liaison services to Silicon Valley Bank in the U.S. for venture debt financing and offshore banking services; and in-market client service support.

With nearly 30 years of experience in banking, a significant portion in Asia, Quon is widely regarded as one of SVB Financial Group’s experts on venture capital in China, having developed and managed the company’s relationships in the region for many years. Quon regularly travels throughout Asia to nurture relationships with various sources of equity capital that are active in the global technology markets. In June 2004, Quon led 25 senior, U.S.-based venture capitalists on a tour of Shanghai and Beijing, introducing them to various government and business officials, which led to increase activity in China by many of the participants.

Quon frequently introduces both U.S. and Asian technology companies to the Asian private equity investor community. During his tenure at SVB, Quon has been responsible for over 30 fund-of-fund and direct investments in Asia.

Prior to his current position, Quon was the senior vice president and manager of Silicon Valley Bank’s Pacific Rim Practice, which focused on U.S.-based companies that received equity funding from Asian venture capital firms, or were U.S. subsidiaries of Asia-based companies.

Quon is currently a board member of AAMA Shanghai, one of the premier Silicon Valley and China trade organizations focused on facilitating technology business activities between Silicon Valley and Asia. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank, Quon worked with Plaza/Comerica Bank, Bank of the West/BNP and First Interstate Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from San Francisco State University in 1983.

在担任现职之前，关先生曾担任硅谷银行环太平洋事务部高级副总裁兼经理，主要服务对象为亚洲风险资本企业获得了风险资本股权投资的美国企业或一些亚洲企业的美国分公司。

关先生目前AAMA上海的董事会成员，这是一家行业领先的硅谷和中国间贸易组织，专注于推动硅谷和亚洲各国之间的科技商业活动。在加盟硅谷银行之前，关先生曾供职于Plaza/Comerica银行，West/BNP银行以及第一州际银行。他于1983年毕业于旧金山州立大学，获得金融学士学位。
