Charlie Kelly

Professional Summary

Charlie Kelly leads the central division of Silicon Valley Bank’s Venture Capital Services team from its office in Broomfield, CO. This team services private equity and venture capital funds throughout the Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountain, Southwest and Midwest regions. Charlie has been with SVB since 2007 and assumed the leadership role for this group in December 2008.

Kelly graduated summa cum laude from Duke University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and entered the submarine training pipeline. Following the nuclear and submarine training schools, Kelly spent three years as an officer aboard the USS Tucson stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI. Aboard the fast attack submarine, he served both as a nuclear engineering officer as well as an Officer of the Deck.

In 2005, Kelly entered the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business MBA program. With a focus on finance and entrepreneurship, he participated on the school’s Venture Capital Investment Competition team, which placed 4th in the country in 2007.
