Adam Tweedy
Adam Tweedy is a senior liquidity advisor based in Boston. He works with technology and life science companies and venture capital and private equity firms located in the United States, Israel, Canada and the United Kingdom. With more than 18 years of experience at SVB, Adam is devoted to making impactful connections between groundbreaking enterprises and the visionaries who fund them.
He and his colleagues lead the client relationship and business development strategy that positions SVB’s liquidity products and investment management capabilities to meet the ever-evolving demands of the bank’s corporate cash management clients. In this role, he identifies the products and services that can best help satisfy clients’ cash and liquidity management needs, which span across banking and investment management platforms for early- to late-stage enterprises. He is focused on building and strengthening relationships with clients and helping clients preserve capital, satisfy liquidity needs and optimize return so clients can concentrate on their core business.
In an earlier role, Adam led SVB Private Equity Services, which provides banking services and debt financing for venture capital and private equity firms. Thanks to his deep understanding of the goals of these clients, Adam was instrumental in helping build this business unit from a small niche provider into a global practice and in leading SVB to become a premier partner to investors in the innovation economy.
When Adam joined SVB in 2001, he brought significant experience in international business to the bank. As co-founder and chief financial officer for startup Trueque.com, Inc., which is an internet barter site for the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking world, Adam directed operations and business development. Prior to his time with Trueque, Adam was a management consultant for Logistic and Distribution Systems in Warsaw, Poland, where he advised management on the sales, marketing and operations departments for this Polish distributor of consumer-packaged goods. Adam began his banking career as a relationship manager at Fleet National Bank in its acquisition finance division.
Adam holds a master’s degree in business administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington & Jefferson College.
