Diane Mullen leads a team of marketers that works nationally with the heads of Silicon Valley Bank's commercial banking teams to set strategy and ensure SVB is effectively communicating the bank’s value to our target markets. Segments covered include startups through large corporates, and private equity and venture capital firms. Industries covered comprise software and internet services, hardware and infrastructure, life science and healthcare, and innovative energy and resource companies. She is a regular speaker at marketing conferences such as Corporate Finance Group and JFAM, most recently presenting to the Client Advisory Board Conference in May 2014 on running successful client advisory board meetings.
Ms. Mullen has over twenty years of experience working in financial services and management consulting. She started her career as a Wall Street banker with Credit Lyonnais, and then spent nine years at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) where she was a partner in the firm's Computers, Information, and Entertainment practice consulting to some of the world's largest technology companies, including Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, AOL, TCI, and AT&T.
Ms. Mullen returned to financial services at Fidelity Investments, holding several Director-level positions in marketing, including co-authoring the business plan to launch their equity compensation business, designing the launch of their Accredited Investor program, and launching programs and products for their Registered Investment Advisor business. Prior to joining SVB in 2011, Diane worked for a private, closely-held master commercial flooring distributor where she ran Marketing and co-wrote the company's 5-year business plan with the CEO.
