Bruce M. Boyd specializes in corporate finance, asset-based finance, project finance (in the energy and transportation sectors), international trade finance, property, and financial restructuring.
More recently, his practice has been involved with cross-border M&A and financing in the film and entertainment sectors. He has been involved in numerous Asian transactions for over thirty years, including corporate finance regarding emerging technology companies, trade finance, project finance, and the restructuring of independent power producer agreements on behalf of the government of Indonesia.
Over the years, Mr. Boyd has lectured widely at State Bar conferences, law school symposiums and corporate meetings with respect to compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Mr. Boyd was also a research and teaching fellow, funded by the Ford Foundation along with Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley, at the All-India Law Institute in New Delhi, India.
He was Co-Chair and Member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the California Bar Association; Advisor Emeritus, former Treasurer and Member of the Executive Committee of the International Law Section of the California Bar Association; and, General Counsel and Member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Business Association of Silicon Valley.
Mr. Boyd received his B.A. at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He then received his J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
