Arman Zand is a Senior Vice President at SVB Global, a member of SVB Financial Group. Based in Shanghai, China, he focuses on business development in venture lending in Asia. Prior to this role, Zand focused on developing SVB Financial Group’s venture debt market in Israel including the establishment of the company’s local office in Herzliya. Zand was also instrumental to establishing SVB India Advisors Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India, in 2004.
Prior to that, Zand worked in Silicon Valley Bank’s U.S.-based venture lending group focused providing financing solutions to early-stage companies and later as a relationship manager serving later-stage and public technology companies throughout Silicon Valley. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank in 2000, Zand worked with Bank of America Securities as well as Merrill Lynch. He holds a bachelor’s degree in global economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz and an MBA from the Haas School of Business in Berkeley, Calif.
