Lilly Huang is a Director of SVB’s Global Gateway Division, which represents a single point of contact to assist domestic and international clients with their global business expansion initiatives. Depending on the nature of inbound or outbound inquiries, the Global Gateway team provides strategic advice and introductions to the appropriate SVB teams, external service providers, and other key constituents of the innovation ecosystem. Lilly has over 10 years of experience helping companies solve their most critical financial and strategic challenges when they expand internationally.
In her current role, Lilly is responsible for assisting Asian technology companies and their financial investors with establishing new or expanding existing presences in the U.S. Prior to her current role, Lilly spent four years in Shanghai, China, spearheading SVB’s business development efforts in technology and venture capital industries under the Entrepreneurial Services Group.
Before joining SVB, Lilly was director of the China Desk for the City of San Francisco, based in Shanghai, and successfully helped more than a dozen Chinese companies set up U.S. subsidiaries in San Francisco. Lilly began her career with HSBC London.
Lilly relocated back to the U.S. in 2012 and is currently living in San Francisco. She often lectures on Global Entrepreneurship Marketing at Stanford University and is serving as a mentor with the Stanford Technology Ventures Program.
