The Federal Reserve is in full accommodative mode by announcing an open-ended commitment to purchasing $40B per month of mortgage backed securities.

Consumer spending picked up in the third quarter; however, business investments did not keep pace.

Housing was a major drag in the economy during the Great Recession but recent strong sales and home prices suggest this market may have bottomed.

The pending Fiscal Cliff could cause U.S. real GDP to contract by 0.5% in fiscal 2013.

Public debt as percentage of GDP of European nations is a growing concern, in addition the inter-connectedness of the region is the global natural of European banks.
