VeriFone Completes Acquisition of GO Software

San Jose, CA - March 01, 2005 - VeriFone, Inc., the leading provider of payment solutions, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the assets of GO Software from Return On Investment Corporation. The acquisition agreement was announced Dec. 6, 2004.

The GO Software acquisition expands VeriFone's electronic payment transactions and value-added services offerings with PC- and server-based solutions, including PCCharge and RiTA Server. The PC-based point of sale payment processing software has an installed base of 150,000 businesses.

GO Software products and employees will be integrated into VeriFone, enabling the company to market payment processing software to operate on virtually any platform, including: Windows, UNIX, Linux, AIX, OS/390, OS/400, and Sun Solaris. The flagship PCCharge payment solution enables businesses with systems to process credit cards, ATM/debit cards and check guarantee services on Windows-based PCs. RiTA Server is a Java-based highly scalable transaction switch that supports high-volume payment transactions.
