Silicon Valley Bank Receives Branch Licence from Financial Services Authority

LONDON –– April 26, 2012 — Silicon Valley Bank, financial partner to technology and life science companies of all sizes worldwide, has been granted a licence by the Financial Services Authority to open a branch in the UK. The licence will allow Silicon Valley Bank to offer local banking products and services, including current and deposit accounts, local loans, cash management services and foreign exchange transactions.

This licence is a milestone in Silicon Valley Bank's global growth, supporting its strategy to help innovative companies and their investors succeed around the world.
Silicon Valley Bank's UK branch is expected to officially open within the next 6-10 weeks.
