Every day we’re working hard to make things a little bit easier for our clients, but this week we had an opportunity to touch a few peoples’ lives in an even more significant way.
As a company, we’re celebrating 30 years in business by doing 30 community service projects near our offices around the world. In RTP, we connected with Activate Raleigh, a community-wide day of service on September 11, coordinated by Activate Good and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. Local businesses, groups, and individuals throughout the region honored those lost on 9/11 with volunteerism and acts of kindness.
We were thankful for the opportunity to spend a day volunteering at Hospice of Wake County. They have a beautiful campus and it is easy to see how it could be a source of peace and comfort for people facing challenging circumstances. While the weeding and pruning we did may seem like small things, it’s those little things that come together to make Hospice of Wake County such a special place, providing physical, emotional and spiritual care to people living with an advanced illness, their caregivers and those who have lost a loved one.
Activate Raleigh did a great job organizing the day of service. It was a very thoughtful way to remember those who tragically lost their lives 12 years ago. For our part, we were very happy that we were able to contribute, and do something meaningful to make others’ live a little easier and a little more peaceful.
