Silicon Valley VoiceOctober 03, 2012 Posted by: John D. China Silicon Valley Bank is thrilled to have hosted this amazing event! We worked with the members of the band Coverflow to create a singing contest that benefitted children's charities, featuring some of the best amateur singers from the tech world, with tech celebrity judges including David Hornick, Dave McClure, Steven Jang and Alison Murdock.
We had so much fun planning the action with the gang from Coverflow, and we are so grateful to our very talented contestants and our impressive roster of judges. Congratulations to our overall winner as voted by the audience, and judges' choice for best voice, Sara Oliver, and Andy Barton, who was the judges' choice for best performance.
We had a great time hanging out with some of the coolest people from the tech community with a crowd of over 600 at the Fillmore. But most importantly, we raised over $20,000 for three wonderful children's charities: Make a Wish, Bay Kids and Little Kids Rock, plus a prize of $3,000 to the overall winner's charity. Thank you so much to our contestants, judges, audience, charities and Coverflow!
