One of the greatest things about being part of Silicon Valley Bank is getting to know and work with the most amazing entrepreneurs, innovators, scientists, vintners, policy makers and business people of our time. Women, men, kids by some accounts, and people from all races and cultures are contributing to a global boom in technological innovation. Our clients are literally changing the world – and we get to help them do it.

If that weren’t enough to get you energized for the office each day, I also get to collaborate with amazing people right here at Silicon Valley Bank. Across the board, we have a talented, diverse and dedicated team.

Today, I get to brag about two of my colleagues who have been recognized for affecting change in their industries and their communities – and I couldn’t agree more. We're proud to call two of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal's 2012 Women of Influence our own: General Counsel Mary Dent and Head of US Banking Joan Parsons.

Their dedication to our clients, the industries we serve, and the community at large is phenomenal. They are admired for their commitment to our cause, and valued for how they do what they do. Individually, and as part of our team, they are an important part of our success.

I encourage you to read more about Mary and Joan, and commend the Silicon Valley/ San Jose Business Journal for endeavoring to recognize so many incredible women.
